🎭 CURTAIN UP! — A BROADWAY SPECTACULAR 🎭ANNUAL WATERFALL EMPIRE AMBASSADOR PAGEANT
Pageants are a cherished tradition within the International Imperial Court System, offering members an opportunity to participate in friendly competition while raising funds and representing the court throughout the community. The Imperial Court of the Waterfall Empire of Hamilton, Niagara & Tri-Cities proudly presents the Waterfall Empire Ambassador Pageant and Entertainer of the Year Contest.
If you are interested in competing, you must be a general member of the Imperial Court of the Waterfall Empire of Hamilton, Niagara & Tri-Cities in good standing. Memberships are available for purchase at the event for $10. Contestants must be 19 years of age or older.

⭐ Contestants Will Be Scored in 4 Categories ⭐
🎟️ 1. Introduction — “BROADWAY DAZZLE” (25 POINTS)
The overture has begun and the spotlight is yours! Make a grand entrance worthy of opening night on the Great White Way. Serve entrance. Serve drama. Serve “main character energy.” If it doesn’t scream OPENING NIGHT EXTRAVAGANZA, go bigger. This category is all about first impressions — bold, theatrical, and unforgettable. Think show-stopping costumes, dramatic flair, and star power that commands attention from the first step on stage. Whether classic Broadway elegance or modern musical spectacle, set the tone for the evening and let the audience know the show has officially begun!
🎭 2. SHOWSTOPPER PERFORMANCE — “TAKE CENTER STAGE” (35 POINTS)
This is your big number — the moment audiences remember long after the curtain falls. Deliver a performance inspired by the magic of musical theatre: live singing, lip sync, dance, comedy, dramatic monologue, or a fully staged production piece. Bring character, storytelling, and Broadway-level energy. From heartfelt ballads to high-kicking extravaganzas, this is your chance to bring the house down and earn a standing ovation. Leave it all on the stage!
✨ 3. RED CARPET — “TONY AWARDS GLAMOUR” (20 POINTS)
Step into awards-night elegance as if you’re arriving at Broadway’s biggest celebration. Couture, sophistication, and star quality are key. Think dazzling gowns, sharp tuxedos, luxe fabrics, dramatic silhouettes, and impeccable styling. Serve polished perfection worthy of flashing cameras and cheering fans. This is your moment to embody Broadway royalty — poised, glamorous, and unforgettable.
🎤 4. CURTAIN CALL — “SPOTLIGHT Q&A” (20 POINTS)
Every star must speak from the heart once the applause fades. In this Q&A round, contestants will answer thoughtful questions designed to reveal personality, poise, and authenticity beyond the performance. Show us your wit, insight, humour, and sincerity as you take your final bow. This is your chance to connect with the audience and judges as the person behind the performer.
📜 Requirements
If crowned the winner, you are asked to represent our Court in a friendly and welcoming manner. At the request of the Monarchs, you will greet guests and distribute ball programmes at Coronation. Title holders may apply to the Executive to present a fundraiser during their reign; these events may be joint or individual.
Title holders report to the College of Monarchs of the Imperial Court of the Waterfall Empire of Hamilton, Niagara & Tri-Cities. A sash and jewelry will be provided at crowning for use during the reign and must be worn at all state events and court walks at Coronations.
During Coronation weekend, the Court hosts a hospitality suite to welcome visiting dignitaries. Title holders are requested to attend hospitality, schedules permitting, to greet out-of-town guests.
🏆 Prizes
A Waterfall Empire Ambassador sash for use throughout the reign
Official Ambassador jewelry for use during the reign (to be returned upon step-down or resignation)
A complimentary ticket to the Coronation Ball
The newly crowned Waterfall Empire Ambassador is responsible for any loss or damage to the sash and jewelry provided.
