Confusion and craziness abound in this frantic comedy set entirely in the coat room during a Manitoba wedding social. A reluctant groom, a drunken best friend, a heartbroken bridesmaid, a domineering mother-in-law, and a mysterious foreign uncle are just a few of the guests you’ll encounter amidst the mayhem. Curtain Call Collective is delighted to bring Dark Horse Theatre’s “The Social” to the 2024 Winnipeg Fringe Festival, after the original show played to sold-out, laughing crowds at the Irish Club in January of 2023.
