Join Redefined Curly Hair Education and Curlture salon for a 1 day hands on class aimed to teach you everything you need to know about styling wavy and curly hair.

If you are interested in learning how to navigate a curly consultation, to assess the elements and needs of curly hair, as well as learn how and when to use different curly hair styling products then you will want to be part of this class! Prepare for a day of product play as you put your new skills to the test and experiment with different product combinations on live curly hair models. Observe the hydration process and how to combat common hair concerns like frizz, lack of definition, and dryness on different textured curls.

How to Navigate a curly consultation- Gaining our clients' trust starts at the beginning of our service, in the consultation. Learn how to empathetically and confidently navigate through a curly consultation. We will demonstrate the fine dance of consultation as well as coach you through the consultation process with your own live models.
Assessing curly hair essential elements- Curly hair comes in all different shapes, sizes and essential elements. Learn how to tactilely distinguish your clients texture, surface texture, porosity, curl diameter and density. Once you learn how to assess your clients curls we can more confidently approach cutting and styling.
The importance of hydration for curly hair- Hydration is the universal attribute that all curls, waves, and coils need. In this class you will learn what hydration is and how we can help our guests to achieve it. Learn to distinguish What the hair needs.

Less is more when it comes to healthy curly hair. After touching on how to gently and effectively detox your guests’ curls to prime them for the rest of their service, learn the power of a simple cleansing and conditioning routine that will not only give you results but will be easy for your curly hair guests to replicate at home. Consistency is key for healthy curls!

Products are tools when it comes to making our guests’ curly hair dreams into reality. We will talk about the different types of curly hair products available to us as well as why and when to reach for them. We will push your creativity as we experiment with different product combinations on our live models. You will walk away with new product application and drying techniques you’ll be excited to try out on your own curly guests.
