The curator’s walk takes place through the streets and shoreline of Larnaca during the Biennale, where the city itself becomes both setting and subject. Inspired by David Le Breton’s notion of walking as a way of inscribing meaning in the world, the walk invites participants to encounter Larnaca not as a backdrop but as a living body of memory and movement.Rather than a conventional guided tour, the walk becomes a shared choreography of attention. Silence, listening, or reflection are introduced as ways of attuning to Larnaca’s layered presence. In this way, the city reveals itself as archive and stage, both fragile and enduring.
Through the act of walking, participants inscribe themselves into Larnaca’s ongoing story. Each step creates a fleeting but intimate bond with the city, echoing Le Breton’s insight that walking is a way of weaving meaning into the fabric of the world, here experienced in the context of the Biennale as a living, participatory exhibition.
At the conclusion of the walk, a special guest talk (+40 min) is offered to those who wish to stay further!
