What Happens to a Dream Deferred? America at its 250th questions whether the American dream could ever be just a singular dream. This exhibit turns the noun “dream” into the verb “dreaming,” and asks us to move into the next years of this nation, collectively dreaming of America. Holly Harris, Linda Obobaifo, and Maske Maiden use painting, printmaking, sculptural, and collaged painting, and mask-making to offer us three unique lenses to see the American dreams that we still hold on to, the ones we might release, and the ones still waiting for us.
