Stephanie Hanor, MCAM Director and curator of 100 Years of Creative Visions, will lead attendees on a tour of this very special centennial exhibition.ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
From its founding in 1925, the Mills College Art Museum has been a forum for exploring art and ideas and a laboratory for contemporary art practices, serving as a hub for artistic experimentation. In celebration of the museum's centennial, 100 Years of Creative Visions features an intergenerational and cross-cultural selection of major works from the permanent collection that emphasizes creative communities and the importance of artist friendships.
The exhibition will feature augmented reality (AR) responses to the artwork from former Art+Process+Ideas artists in residence, Indira Allegra, Sanaz Mazinani, Genevieve Quick, and Cate White, and Mills MFA alums Michael Mersereau and Kate Rhoades.
