About this Event

Bill Cunliffe is a Grammy Award-winning jazz pianist, composer, and arranger known for his innovative blending of jazz and classical styles. He began his career touring with the Buddy Rich Band and has since played with jazz legends like Frank Sinatra, Ray Brown, and Freddie Hubbard. A multi-Grammy nominee, he won a Grammy in 2010 for Best Instrumental Arrangement. He is also a dedicated educator and a Professor of Music at California State University, Fullerton.


John Leftwich is a highly versatile and deeply rhythmic bassist who has been a staple of the jazz and acoustic music scenes for decades. He toured extensively with the legendary Carmen McRae and has performed or recorded with giants such as Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, and Chet Baker. Known for his impeccable timing and expressive soloing, Leftwich seamlessly anchors ensembles while driving harmonic exploration.

Chris Wabich is a dynamic, genre-fluid percussionist and drummer known for his mastery of both traditional jazz drumming and global percussion styles. He has recorded on projects with artists ranging from Sting and Leonard Cohen to jazz greats like Mark Murphy, Stanley Jordan and Mose Allison. Wabich brings a unique, coloristic approach to the drum set, often incorporating diverse rhythms that elevate improvised arrangements.

Where is parking located?

Parking is located under the building, accessible from west of the building off of 1st St. between Bunker Hill Towers and the mini-shopping center AU LAC is in.

Once you’ve turned into the large driveway, turn left into the garage “Guest Parking and Residence Parking of The Promendade”. $12 CASH ONLY.

Additional parking is located directly across Hope St. at Disney Hall - 111 South Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90012. $10.

There is limited street parking in front of Au Lac, Disney Hall and The Music Center.
