Culture & Connection: A Family Listening Tour at Poster House
Tuesday, April 7, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 Poster House, New York City
Free with RSVP | All Cool Culture families & educators welcome
Join Cool Culture for a special Listening Tour gathering during NYC DOE Spring Break 🌸—a day of art, storytelling, and community connection designed for families, caregivers, and educators.
This immersive experience takes place at Poster House, the first museum in the United States dedicated entirely to the art and history of posters. Together, we’ll explore how visual storytelling informs, inspires, and mobilizes communities—and how families use their voices to shape the world around them.
At the heart of the day is a guided experience through the exhibition
Act Black: Posters from Black American Stage & Screen, highlighting the visual culture of Black performance across theater, film, and television.
Through reflection, conversation, and creativity, families and educators will help shape the future of how cultural spaces connect with communities.
Why This Gathering Matters
Cultural spaces have the power to inspire, educate, and bring communities together—but they are strongest when families help shape them.
This Listening Tour is about hearing directly from families and those who support them.
Whether you share openly, listen deeply, or reflect quietly—your presence and perspective are valued.
Your voice will help guide Cool Culture’s future programming across schools, museums, and communities throughout New York City.
