About this Event
Join us on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 PM, as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the kinship Family Heritage Research Center, a local genealogy center located at the Miller House Museum. A panel of speakers, including Carol Miller-Schultz, Jean Conte, and Colleen Rafferty, will present the history of kinship and explore exciting and fascinating tales they have encountered through working in kinship's library and with visiting researchers!
Our panel of speakers includes: Carol Miller-Schultz, a founder of kinship who teaches genealogy courses in Washington County; Jean Conte, WCHS genealogy researcher who offers genealogy support on Wednesdays at the WCHS; and Colleen Rafferty, Executive Director of Rose Hill Cemetery, who offers a unique perspective on kinship's crossover with Rose Hill Cemetery.
This is a perfect talk to attend if you're interested in learning about kinship or hearing stories about Washington County's historical families! Attendees are welcome to ask genealogy questions and attend a kinship open house the following day, Saturday, August 15, at the Miller House Museum.
Culture & Cocktails is generously sponsored by the James & Mary Schurz Foundation. C&C is held on the second Friday of each month from 6:00-8:00 PM. Doors open at 5:30 PM. Refreshments and one complimentary drink ticket are included with each ticket.
This month's cocktail will be genealogy themed!
