About this Event
Find out how to participate in the Cultural Hotspot. Share your ideas about the community-based arts and cultural projects you'd like to see in Kingston-Galloway/Orton Park and learn about funding opportunities.
In 2026, the Cultural Hotspot celebrates Kingston-Galloway/Orton Park, highlighting its cultural significance and creative contributions to Toronto. The program area includes Ellesmere Road to the north, the lakeshore to the south, Markham Road to the east west and Conlins/Manse Road to the east.
The Cultural Hotspot's Signature & SPARK Project funding enables new, emerging or established local arts and community organizations to collaborate with City of Toronto's Arts & Culture Services to develop and deliver programming that celebrates community and culture. Successful funding applicants will receive up to $22,000 to carry out a Signature Project, or up to $9,000 for a SPARK Project. Additional funds may be accessed for specific accessibility costs and/or youth job placement. For details, please see the Call for Proposals at toronto.ca/CulturalHotspot.
Neighbourhood residents and people displaced from the community will have the opportunity to connect with each other, share stories and celebrate local community and culture through creative expression.
