Since September of last year, Globe Art Point has been hosting Cultural Dialogues, an event series in a dialogue format spearheaded by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike). The dialogues centred around art and culture questioned the role of artists in today's society with a specific focus on the experiences of BIPOC and foreign artists living and working in Finland. The theme for the dialogues in the Spring Season 2024 was “security and trust”.
In this closing session, we will go through the material discussed during our Dialogues. *The material has been anonymised.*
The summary of our dialogues is to be presented to the working group on the cultural policy report that will be included in the prime minister Orpo's government programme. The vision presented in the cultural policy report and the measures to achieve it are based on the situational picture of the arts and culture sector and its key drivers of change. This report will create an ambitious vision for the long-term development of Finland's arts and cultural policy.
