About this Event
The Cultural Enrichment Center (CEC), in partnership with Dandelions Rising, welcomes the community into a shared, free BIPOC-centered garden space rooted in care, connection, and collective growth.
This garden was created in response to our program community’s desire for more time together over the summer, offering a meaningful way to stay connected while nurturing something collectively. It is more than a place to grow food; it is a space for shared stewardship, where community members contribute time, knowledge, and energy to cultivate fruits, vegetables, herbs, and relationships.
Throughout the summer and into the fall, participants are invited to engage at their own pace, whether by tending the land, learning new skills, or simply being present. Grounded in sustainable practices and cultural connection, the garden offers an opportunity to reconnect with the rhythms of the earth and honor agricultural traditions.
Together, we are growing not only nourishment but community resilience, belonging, and hope, ensuring that everyone has a place and that the harvest is shared by all.
