Events will kick off on Saturday, August 23 with the 11:00 a.m. arrival of General Lafayette in the square in front of the Museum of Culpeper History. Living historians, costumed in 1820s attire, will roam Main and Davis Streets beginning at 10:00 a.m., inviting citizenry to join in the welcome. There will be performances by the Eastern View High School Band as well as the EVHS and Culpeper High School choruses, a coloring contest for children, and a “passport” program to encourage families to visit sites on Main and Davis.-CRI
