About this Event

Clear Thoughts Foundation (CTF) is proud to present the Pittsburgh premiere of the award-winning documentary WALK WITH ME on Thursday, May 28, at the historic Union Trust Building in downtown Pittsburgh.

This deeply moving documentary tells the story of Charlie Hess, who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease at just 57 years old. Over the course of four years, Charlie’s wife, acclaimed casting director Heidi Levitt, documented their journey together with extraordinary honesty, compassion, and love.

Levitt’s celebrated career includes casting credits for major films such as JFK, Nixon, Natural Born Killers, The Rock, and The Joy Luck Club. In WALK WITH ME, however, her most personal role is that of wife, caregiver, and filmmaker.

“Love, patience and tenacity guide me as director, wife, and care partner,” said Levitt.

At its core, WALK WITH ME is a powerful love story that offers audiences an intimate look at the realities of dementia, caregiving, resilience, and human connection. The film provides hope, insight, and understanding for families navigating Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Both the film and historic theatre are not available to the public, making this a truly unique experience!

The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and light appetizers at 5:00 p.m., followed by the film screening promptly at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are only $25 per person and all proceeds raised will support the Clear Thoughts Foundation, a local non-profit working tirelessly to fund the discovery of breakthrough drugs and novel treatments to eliminate dementia.

The event is generously sponsored by the Davis Companies, Union Trust Building, and Saxton & Stump Lawyers.

Community members, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and anyone interested in learning more about the dementia journey are encouraged to attend this special event.
