The CT Blues Society kicks off a New Year of CTBS events with a First Sunday Blues Jam at The Pine Loft in Berlin CT. The CTBS All-Stars (River City Slim, Phil Caron and Joey Primo) are back as the house band with a different 'guitar star' joining the band each month. This month's jam features Carl Ricci and Johnny Marino. Carl and Johnny are the front men of the 706 Union Avenue Band, winners of the 2024 CTBS Blues Band Challenge. This will be your last chance to see Carl and Johnny before they head down to Memphis to represent the CTBS at the International Blues Challenge on January 7. Musicians bring your instruments - amps, drums, keyboards and PA are provided. The Pine Loft is a full-service restaurant, so bring your appetite! They also have a variety of beers and wines! Music starts at 1:00 PM.
