About this Event
Our event will discuss the importance of increasing Gender representation in Nation building. It will also highlight the need for women economic development/ equal representation of women in economic, civil, political life, and the need for them to embark on a transformative journey that empowers African women towards a future that will achieve gender equality and lead Africa’s transformation.
It also focuses on the theme and throws light on the essence of educating and equipping women to achieve effective leadership among women, close existing gaps and ways in which this can accelerate the achievement of gender equality and the establishment of institutions and civil society actors that can push for protection frameworks, especially in ensuring programs that equip the women to understand their role and value, support their mental and emotional wellbeing and become the leader that will serve as social drivers that will catalyse change in Africa.. This is directly related to and draws from the Sustainable Development Envision 2030 Goals 3 – Good Health and Well Being & Goal 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
