Covid-19 Update:
In light of recent requirements from institutions that support our on-site education endeavors, beginning on October 1, 2021, Carolina Speech Pathology will require all persons who attend in person education courses to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. In-person courses require close contact over significant time frames during the hands-on component. We realize with these parameters, vaccination is a validated risk mitigation strategy to decrease mortality and transmission of COVID-19 during in-person courses. We will continue to implement the use of prescreening, as well as use of PPE during potential aerosol-generating procedures during all in-person courses.
This vaccine requirement decision was complex and followed the movement in our industry to work towards keeping vulnerable populations protected and reduce the burden on primary medical services. We are implementing this as a promise to our host institutions, (which are typically health care faculties) and to uphold our core value of servant leadership. Therefore, following registration to any live/in-person course, participants will be asked to email proof of vaccination to: [email protected]. Failure to provide proof of vaccination within two weeks prior to the course will result in forfeiting your seat in the course.
All participants are welcome to complete the on-line course portion and attend the in person course with vaccination proof. If a participant is unvaccinated, Carolina Speech Pathology will offer reimbursement of tuition expenses or a participant may consider completing the online portion of the course at this time and pending their in-person attendance until this policy changes.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Director of Educational Resources, Selena Reece ([email protected], 919-749-9159).
