INTRODUCTION TO SEWING FOR KIDSPresented by Corn Stock for Kids

Come learn the basics of machine and hand sewing! Participants will learn about the equipment needed for sewing, including both hand and machine sewing techniques. This includes sewing on buttons, snaps, hooks and eyes, and hemming; setting up a sewing machine; how to change needles and bobbins; how patterns are used and cutting on fabric guided by a pattern.
Participants will make two projects through the course of the class, and will receive a take-home kit of basic sewing supplies to keep. If you already have a machine, feel free to bring it with you. Otherwise, we have machines ready for participants to use.
