About this Event

Welcome

Come and join me at the City of London Academy in Islington for a deeply relaxing crystal bowl sound bath.

Crystal Bowl Sound Bath | Benefits

Therapeutic crystal bowl sound sessions can have a wide range of health and well-being benefits as they work to soothe both the mind and body, giving you an opportunity to restore balance on all levels.

Our body keeps hold of feelings, thoughts and emotions, and in stressful times, a build up of negative emotions can create tension, dis-ease and illness. The vibrations from the crystal bowls connect to our brain waves causing them to synchronise and in turn, harmonise, offering a pathway to a healthier , balanced mind and body.

Below are some of the benefits that can be experienced during and after a sound bath.

Deep Relaxation | Stress and Anxiety Reduction | Enhanced immune system | Improved Sleep | Emotional Release | Improved Mood | Boost in Circulation | Better Digestion

What to Bring -

Yoga mat You will be lying down during the session so it's essential to bring something comfortable to lay on.

Blanket / Sleeping Bag Your temperature will likely drop during the sound bath from laying motionless for a period of time so bring a blanket and jumper to keep you nice and warm throughout the session. I've been at other sound baths where people have bought sleeping bags to allow for maximum cosiness so fee free to bring one too :)

Pillow Bring a pillow or something to rest your head on during the sound bath to make yourself as comfortable as possible. Some people also bring a small pillow to put underneath their knees

Eye mask Some people prefer complete darkness during a sound bath so bring an eye mask if it would make your experience more enjoyable.

Water It is important to keep hydrated before and after a sound bath

What to Expect

With everyone laying down, I will start the session with a gentle guided meditation, encouraging your mind to begin letting go of any stress. The sound of the crystal bowls will then lead you into a relaxed state of being, stimulating the brain wave frequencies associated with a peaceful mind and body.

Once I have finsihed playing the crystal bowls, there will be a few minutes of total silence to allow for the sound and its effects to settle within the body.

Health Precautions

I'm afraid it is not recommended that anyone with the health conditions below attend the crystal bowl sound bath:

  • 1st trimester of pregnancy

About Me

Hi, I'm Amy, a qualified Indian Head Massage therapist, certified crystal bowl sound healer and an Artist.

Having been brought up with a Mum practising meditation, yoga and Buddhism, I have a deep appreciation of living an holistic way of life. Holistic therapies have encouraged me to listen to the parts of myself that need nurturing and continue to be a support in life's events. Seeing how alternative approaches to self care have had a hugely beneficial impact on my life, both physically and mentally, I became drawn to becoming a practitioner myself.

From a young age, my passion for creative expression drew me to a world of art, remaining a pivotal role in my life. I have exhibited widely, having my work exhibited in places such as the Houses of Parliament, The Mall Galleries in London and I have also appeared on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year as a contestant.
