Join the team of the Edmonton Queer History Project as we launch our first book, based in part on our popular Downtown Walking Map! Learn about the people, places, and moments that helped shape our collective queer history — at least in the city core! Learn about the history of Edmonton Pride from its earliest days right up and through the pandemic. With special reminiscences from some of the key players in Edmonton’s past, this book is a great introduction to the resilience and strength of our 2SLGBTQ+ community. The launch event includes a panel of the team members who helped write this book, talking about their experiences with the project and with the spaces included in the text.
