Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is not a Mexican version of Halloween. While they share a connection to death, the two events differ greatly in their traditions and tone. Halloween is often centered around spooky themes and mischief, whereas Día de los Muertos is a vibrant celebration of life and remembrance. Though the theme revolves around death, the focus is on honoring and showing love and respect for deceased family members. In towns and cities across Mexico, people wear colorful makeup and costumes, hold parades and parties, sing and dance, and make offerings to their lost loved ones. We’re offering a family-friendly program from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and for those who want to keep the party going, the after-party kicks off at 9:30 pm—celebrating the Mexican way!
