MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR SATURDAY, AUGUST 1ST! WE WANT TO HAVE A HUGE TURN OUT! Cruisin for a Cure is a fundraiser with the Durand Eagle Riders. This club goes above and beyond to raise THOUSANDS of dollars to go to a child that has cancer. All moneys raised for the child and family are distributed by the Durand Eagle Riders as they are given the bills or expenses by the family. Any medical, household (electric, yard care, home repairs), auto or any other thing that may come up while the child is going through their cancer treatment that the family needs help with. This is near and dear to my heart because the Durand Eagle Riders raised money for TWO of my nieces while they were being treated, one for Acute Lymphatic Leukemia and the other for AT/RT Brain cancer.
The Durand Eagle Riders started this as a motorcycle run but also now allow vehicles to join the run.
So mark your calendars and join us for this amazing fundraiser. I'd love to see as many of us come out for this.
The run has us stopping at several area bars. There is a cost to be in the run and you also get a T-shirt. The Durand Eagle Riders usually serve breakfast before the run and dinner at the end. There is also a silent auction, bake sale and much more.
I will update as we get more information on this years child that the moneys raised will go to for Cruisin for a Cure.
