Uma is a versatile and dynamic performer, acclaimed for her work across opera and cabaret. She has been praised for her “jewelled singing” (Arts Review), described as “a force to be reckoned with” (HoopLA), and noted for “unparalleled talent and charm” (ArtsHub).
This special event features selections from Offenbach, Britten, and Dove, alongside the beloved and challenging Queen of the Night arias from Mozart's Die Zauberflöte. Uma will be joined by Maestro Raymond Lawrence (piano), Maria Woolford (mezzo-soprano), Daniel Szesiong Todd (tenor) and Stephen Marsh (baritone) for this performance.
Uma was selected to perform Mozart's Queen of the Night at the prestigious Berlin Opera Academy International Summer Program in June. This exceptional program offers intensive training and invaluable exposure to the German and wider European opera scene.
This special concert is a fundraiser to support her journey and help her make the most of this incredible opportunity.
Nightingale Performing Arts Australia proudly supports this event by sponsoring the venue. Developing and supporting early-career musicians remains central to the company's mission.
