Host a Garage Sale at the Crown Point Community Garage Sale & Fundraiser
Join your neighbours for one of Crown Point’s most loved community traditions. By hosting a garage sale at your home (driveway, front yard, or garage), you’ll be part of a neighbourhood-wide event where hundreds of residents open their homes to shoppers exploring the area for unique finds.
💛 Hosting is completely free. We simply invite participants to consider donating a portion of their proceeds to the Hamilton Dream Center, a local organization providing practical support and resources to families in our community. We suggest a 20% donation from the proceeds of your sale, however any contribution is appreciated.
Why the Crown Point Garage Sale Exists
The Crown Point Garage Sale began with a simple idea: bring neighbours together.
As a longtime Crown Point resident, Laura Vandette wanted to create something that felt bigger than a typical garage sale; an event that encourages connection, conversation, and community pride. What started as a small neighbourhood initiative has grown into a beloved annual tradition where hundreds of homes participate, thousands of items find new life, and neighbours who might otherwise only wave from across the street get the chance to truly meet.
At its heart, the event is about more than buying and selling. It’s about simplifying our homes, supporting local organizations, and celebrating the unique spirit of Crown Point. By inviting residents to donate a portion of their proceeds to local causes, the garage sale becomes a way for the neighbourhood to give back together... proving that when a community comes together, even something as simple as a garage sale can make a meaningful impact.
Early Registration Perks
Be one of the first 100 households to register and you’ll receive:
• A yard sign to promote your sale
• A goodie bag with helpful tools and treats for the day
• Directional signs placed around your street to help draw shoppers to the area
When you register, you’ll receive:
• A listing on the Crown Point Garage Sale map so shoppers can find your home
• Directional signs placed throughout the neighbourhood to guide visitors
• The opportunity to be part of a fun, community-wide event
What to Expect as a Host
When you register, your home will be added to the Crown Point Garage Sale Google map, making it easy for shoppers to plan their route and find participating homes throughout the neighbourhood.

Have a budding entrepreneur at home? Kids (or grown-ups!) are invited to host a lemonade or treat stand during the event.
You can register for:
