Join us for a night of messing with Shakespeare... all for a good cause!
At Crowd Control Hamlet, you're in charge! After some very serious actors perform a very serious scene from a Shakespeare play - you get to add some chaos! The audience will see a menu of ways to change the play, like swapping in ridiculous props, using a bad translation, or performing blindfolded - plenty of options to make the actors’ jobs difficult and the play more memorable. You cast your vote by making a donation of any size to our partner charity for the night. Once voting is done, the actors perform the scene again with the chosen changes. Then we do it all again till the play’s finished!
This project is part of The Medium’s InnerSpace program, which offers free space to test new creative or community-building ideas in a supportive environment. InnerSpace reflects The Medium’s commitment to making space accessible to all.
