Rescheduling this event - I'd originally planned it for Memorial Day weekend and I'm guessing a lot of people will be out of town.
PLUS, I just found out Twin Cities Nature Walks offers naturalist walks on Sundays at 10 a.m. at Crosby Farm, which just so happens to be where we're planning on walking, so I'm moving the event to Sunday, May 31st at 10 a.m. to coincide with the naturalist walk - two good things in one!
Going back to the location of our very first SLOW WALK - Crosby Farm Regional Park! This is a 3-mile walk through the bottomlands by the Mississippi River, with smooth, paved trails.
Some things to know:
*There's no entry fee for this park.
*PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN VIEW IN YOUR CAR AND LOCK THE DOORS.
*Plan on meeting at the parking lot - look for the lilac handkerchief tied to my walking stick so we can gather in a group.
*Dress appropriately for the weather and your comfort.
*Pets are welcome if allowed at the location, as long as they remain on a leash or in a stroller. The pet owner is responsible for poop clean-up and disposal. Please ask before allowing your pet to greet others - some folks might not be comfortable with new pets.
