The Annual Halloween Parade kicks off at 11:00 AM from the Crofton Country Club and proceeds along the inner loop of the Crofton Parkway to Crofton Town Hall. This year’s parade will be led by Grand Marshal Bluey and will include a marching band, dancers, bagpipers, antique cars, roadsters, fire engines, cheerleaders, horses in costume, and more. Bring the whole family to the parade route to cheer the parade! The Crofton Kiwanis is also hosting a Halloween Costume Contest in conjunction with the Annual Halloween Parade. Kids and families in costume can register at 10:00 AM at the Prince of Peace Church at 1657 Crofton Parkway, Crofton, MD, and judging will occur between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Afterwards, contest participants are invited to join in the parade at the tail of the parade and march to Crofton Town Hall where the winners will be announced. Winners will receive a certificate and a pumpkin. The award categories are:
• Best Traditional Costume
• Scariest costume
• Prettiest costume
• Most original costume
• Best group/family costumes
In addition to the presentation of the Halloween Costume awards at Crofton Town Hall there will be snacks and Halloween activities for the kids. Everyone is invited to congratulate the winners and have fun!
