Come to a special New Years Eve edition of Oakland's favorite stand up comedy show, Critical Hit!
Comics on Critical Hit! have appeared on Conan, Comedy Central, Funny or Die, SNL, the Tonight Show, and movies including Dicks: The Musical and Sorry To Bother You.
Over ten years of shows we've gotten to work with some of our favorites including After Midnight's Taylor Tomlinson, SNL's James Austin Johnson, The Dork Forest's Jackie Kashian, plus John Roy, Hampton Yount, Dave Ross, Kaseem Bentley, and more!
$15 online, $20 at the door or last minute.
Early Bird tickets available for $10 until a week before showtime.

About the show
Critical Hit! is hosted by Adrianna McCain, Erik Krasner, Hayden Greif-Neill, and Tirumari Jothi at It's Your Move Games & Hobbies in Temescal. We've been a local favorite for the last 10 years.
Every week, we invite some of our favorite comedians to perform. Along with the producers, you can expect to see about 3 fantastic comics and a headliner who'll do a longer set at the end of the show.
Doors open at 9:30pm and the show starts at 10pm. We highly encourage you to arrive before 8 so you can get seated before we turn down the lights and start the show.
The show will end at midnight.
About the venue
It's Your Move Games & Hobbies is a community minded, independently owned and operated game store in Oakland's Historic Temescal District. It's Your Move has great popular and local games for sale and for rent with space to play! Come through every Thursday for open game night.
Frequently asked questions
How old do I have to be to see the show?
While we wont turn away any young'uns at the door, the show does contain mature content. Our rule of thumb is: only bring people you'd bring to an R-rated movie.
Is there a drink minimum?
Nope! In fact the show is BYOB!
What exactly do you mean by BYOB?
BYOB means you are free to bring any beer or wine for you and your friends. We ask that you leave your harder stuff at home.
Is there anywhere to eat before the show?
Of course! Temescal is home to a number of restaurants that are great for dining in or take out. Grab dinner, then come see the show! We recommend our sponsors, Pizza Ponte and 9 Julio Empanadas!
I can't make it there by 10, can I still come to the show?
We'll seat anyone up to the end of the show. We do recommend coming before 10pm, but we'll still let you in if you can't.
How do I get to the show?
It's Your Move Games is a convenient 10 minute walk from MacArthur BART. Parking in the area can be a bit tricky but you can always find a spot after 7pm.
If the event is sold out, will you have tickets at the door?
We always have room for a few more! Come by!
