About this Event
CivicCon, in collaboration with J.U.S.T. Pensacola, invites the community to a timely conversation on how stronger engagement can lead to smarter, more humane criminal justice outcomes. This workshop will feature nationally recognized advocate Percy Glover, whose lived experience and professional leadership have helped bridge longstanding gaps between communities and law enforcement.
With deep expertise in J*il reform and reentry, Glover draws on both personal experience and work in the field to share practical strategies to improve outcomes for justice-involved individuals. His work focuses on strengthening pathways back into the community, advancing rehabilitative J*il practices and building trust between systems and the people they serve. The conversation will also highlight local efforts to expand civil citation programs and address the harmful cycle created by unnecesary arrests for low level misdemeanors.
This event offers an opportunity for community members and public officials to explore collaborative approaches that reduce unnecessary arrests, support successful reentry and create a more effective justice system.
