The East Alabama Crisis Intervention Team is conducting a 40-hour CIT certification and training at the Opelika Police Department. This course certifies Alabama first responders as CIT Officers and provides valuable training on responding to crises and utilizing local treatment systems to enhance safety, improve outcomes, and inform disposition decisions.These classes will be offered quarterly and are week-long courses.
