About this Event
The Pittsburgh Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Business Pitch Competition is an initiative designed to provide tangible, meaningful support to local entrepreneurs through direct financial awards and exposure. Grounded in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.’s commitment to economic development and community empowerment, the competition offers both emerging and established entrepreneurs the opportunity to refine their pitch, gain feedback from experienced judges, and compete for micro-grant funding. The pitch competition reflects the chapter’s continued commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, economic empowerment, and sustainable community impact.
Finalists will present their business ideas before a panel of judges and gain valuable feedback, visibility, and mentorship opportunities. The winners of the competition will receive recognition and/or monetary awards. This opportunity and attendance at the Final Pitch Event is free to all participants.
The purpose of the Crimson Lauch Tank pitch competition is to provide direct micro-monetary support to emerging entrepreneurs. Likewise, the purpose of the Crimson Launch Tank is to strengthen the participants’ ability to articulate their business capabilities and value, clearly and confidently. As a result of participation, contestants will gain exposure and access to expert judges to receive valuable feedback and mentorship. In the end, contestants will be able to engage the broader community garnering the local support, inciting business growth.
