Join local crime writer Stephen Wade for the launch of his new novel ‘Trials of the heart’, and hear about his transition from a true crime writer who delves into the dark history of our past, to a writer of crime fiction.‘Trials of the heart’ follows the life of a singer in the dance band days of the 1940s, and her relationship with a band leader who becomes involved in a local murder.
Stephen will talk about the different experiences of writing about true and fictional crime, and the progression from one writing style to another. He will also describe how his own life in Leeds formed the basis of the novel.
