Creswick Repair & Share Cafe is a fabulous community gathering and your one-stop destination for repairing all sorts of things, from bikes to clocks to socks to mechanical and electrical gadgets and appliances. This event also includes our popular local food and produce event, Swap It. As the backyard veggie season is in full swing again, we encourage people to bring along their excess homemade goodies and locally grown fruit and veggies, seeds, seedlings, eggs, jams and preserves to swap and share with other like-minded people.
You can also enjoy some wholesome homemade food courtesy of Rachel from Happy Scraps (delicious local food from the fruit and veggies that big supermarkets reject). And make sure to take advantage of her two-course family dinner offering starting at 6pm - sit down and takeaway both available for just $5 a serve.
Another great thing is that we prevent a lot of useful stuff from going to landfills, and instead, we support a circular economy of things.
Out wonderful local volunteer repair skills include sewing, darning, bike fixing, minor electrical, mechanical, computer, knife sharpening, furniture repair and good conversation, baking, and making.
It's more than just fixing things; it's about creating connections, sharing stories, and enjoying the warmth of community over homemade food and baked treats, all available by donation.
Everyone is welcome - just bring yourself if nothing else.
