About this Event
We are pleased to invite you to Cresco’s seminar on April 1st, following the presentation of the European Commission’s proposal for the much-anticipated 28th Regime, scheduled for 18 March 2026.
With this initiative, the European Commission aims to strengthen and deepen the internal market, building on the strategic direction outlined in the Draghi and Letta reports. The proposal is expected to introduce an optional, harmonized EU-wide legal framework designed to facilitate cross-border business operations and reduce regulatory fragmentation across Member States.
As the 28th Regime may significantly reshape how companies establish, operate and expand across the EU, we will share an early analysis of the proposal and discuss its potential implications and opportunities for your organization. Guest speaker Benoît van den Hove (Euronext) will also address the potential impact on European capital markets:
“The 28th regime aims to reduce fragmentation across national sectorial laws which currently create significant obstacles for companies that operate and scale across borders. An optional EU framework can help address these barriers by offering cross-border actors a clear and efficient path, without replacing national systems. Its effectiveness, however, will depend on including both private and listed companies within its scope.”
The session will conclude with a Q&A.
