Step into the autumn woods for a fun-filled morning of seasonal crafts, spooky stories, and outdoor exploration.
Enjoy a spooky walk in our woodland and learn about the importance of autumn as you collect beautiful leaves and twigs along the way. Return to our Community Garden where you’ll make your very own witches’ broom, spiders web, floating candlestick, and ghoulish ghost using conkers.
Connect with nature, get creative, share your very best spooky stories!
Costumes are very welcome, but please dress for the weather and wear study shoes.
KEY INFORMATION
Price: £5 for children, free for adults 18+
Group Size: maximum 20 paid tickets
Date and time: 10:30am – 12:30pm (2 hours) on Thursday 30th October
Location: Northern Roots, Kings Road, Oldham, OL8 2BJ. Here’s how to find us.
Age limits: Children must be 5+ and supervised by an adult at all times.
Parking: A small car park is located at the site, but we cannot guarantee spaces. The nearest carpark is a short walk up Kings Road in Alexandra Park if needed.
Public transport links: The nearest tram to Northern Roots is Oldham Central. Please allow 30 minutes to walk from Oldham Central to the Northern Roots site.
Important Information: Please wear weather-proof clothing and sturdy shoes suitable for mixed terrains. This session is not accessible for wheelchairs. This session will require standing for periods of time. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the session.
Refreshments: No refreshments will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own lunch, snacks and drinks.
Toilets: We have a small composting toilet available on site.
Cancellation Policy: You are free to cancel and receive a full refund up until 12pm midnight on Monday 20th October 2025. Any cancellations requested after this time will not be accepted. To cancel, please email [email protected] or cancel through EventBrite.
