Creatives with Children

Hosted by Creative Edinburgh, Creative Circles runs every month. For August, we're in-person.

This event is a casual monthly meetup for creatives, techies, makers, students, freelance folk and everyone in between who is interested in discovering more about what's happening in Edinburgh. Take a break from work, share ideas and advice, make new connections, and find your next collaborator.

August's Session: Creatives with Children

Creatives with Children is a casual meet-up for freelancers and creatives to come together, share ideas and make connections, all alongside your little one(s)! Join us at Little Plaza for this special Creative Circles dedicated to creative families; whether you’re looking for a collaborator, are keen to learn and share skills, or simply want to connect with other Creatives with Children, this is a fun and relaxed session for everyone!

Babies and children of all ages are welcome, or come along by yourself for some grown-up creative company. There’ll be tea, coffee, juice and a few snacks - please bring along a keep cup if you have one!

All Creative Circles in 2024 are generously sponsored by an accounting software that lets accountants, small businesses and landlords file Self-assessments directly to HMRC, saving time and reducing stress. We are excited to be working with FreeAgent and can't wait to introduce them to our members at the upcoming events.

About our Facilitator

Eva McKenzie

Eva is a creative practitioner and multi-disciplinary artist, specialising in co-creation, participation, and play. Her workshops focus on experimentation, collaboration, and finding joy in the everyday. She has previously worked with Connecting Craigmillar, the Cumbernauld Alternative Network, and the Peanut Press. Having recently completed an MA in Applied Arts and Social Practice, Eva is dedicated to supporting creative communities and making creative networks accessible to all.

How are we making sure this event is accessible?

There won't be a BSL interpreter present at the event.

There will be no amplified music or bright lights used throughout the event. If you have other access requirements, please let us know during registration or contact us directly, and we will do our very best to help.
