Have you always wanted to write your life story? Join us for a fun creative writing workshop – no experience necessary. In the relaxed and sociable setting of Coret coffee and wine bar, Bath-based author Yvonne Jewkes will help us to find our voices and tap into our memories as she introduces us to the basics of writing from life. Enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of freshly roasted coffee as you write – and don’t forget to bring a notebook and pen!
Yvonne Jewkes is author of An Architecture of Hope: Reimagining the Prison, Restoring a House, Rebuilding Myself (Scribe, 2024), described by Kit de Waal as ‘Beautifully written, honest, and clever…a book we should all read’, while Joanna Nadin said ‘Life writing at its finest.’ She runs ‘Freedom to Write’ with Andy West, teaching creative writing at retreats, workshops and in prisons. Yvonne is currently writing a novel with a life-sentence prisoner.
