Creative Writing from the Heart is a gentle women’s circle exploring storytelling, memory, poetry, truth, longing, and authentic expression.Together we gather to write not from perfection, but from the heart.
This is about self-expression and learning about ourselves rather than performance and polish.
Through guided prompts, reflective practices, sacred witnessing, and creative exploration, women are invited to reconnect with voice, imagination, feeling, and the stories living quietly within them.
No writing experience is needed — only a willingness to listen inwardly.
So don't be put off by thinking you aren't a writer.
Women have used creative expression for millennia and it is our birthright to all be able to use its tools for our betterment as women.
This circle will be a space for honesty, creativity, tenderness, laughter, remembrance, and connection and will be run by Dr Annie Southern (teacher, public speaker and content creator) and Mac Starkey (poet, writer and MC of Red Tent's monthly open mic night Artemis Rising).

What do I bring?
Please bring a snack to share, and a journal and pen to capture aha moments and your water bottle.
Bring an open heart and a longing for connection.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No, we will have a list of attendees and will have already made space for you in our hearts.
What time do I arrive?
Please arrive at 2:45 pm to be settled, with your cuppa by 3 pm. We will close the circle at 6pm but you are invited to stay and chat until 6:15pm.
