About this Event
Draw, paint and create with the whole family during an afternoon of free artmaking sessions at our Downtown Los Angeles gallery as part of The 2024 Big Draw Festival—a collection of thousands of creative events, activities and workshops across the globe run by organizations big and small; from individuals to entire cities.
Inspired by the exhibition ‘Jason Rhoades. DRIVE’ and The 2024 Big Draw Festival theme of ‘Drawing in Motion,’ this year’s events encapsulate the fluidity and energy of the drawing process, celebrating how lines, shapes and forms can capture the essence of movement and bring art to life.
Through an innovative artistic experience, individuals and families can explore the intersection of art and play. Using remote-controlled cars drawing tools, participants will transform the surface of a racetrack sculptural installation into their own canvas, creating a collaborative and kinetic painting as their vehicles glide across the track, turning movement into art.
This event is free, however, please reserve tickets for each member of your group to secure a spot in one of the day’s drawing sessions.
This may get messy—we advise all participants to wear old clothes. All ages welcome. Younger children are welcome if supervised by adults.
