About this Event
Art Workshop for Women & Children – Creativity, Connection & Strength
Join us for a gentle and welcoming art workshop for women and children, created especially for Afghan and Syrian communities, and warmly open to all.
This session offers a calm and supportive space to explore creativity, connection, and inner strength through a simple yet meaningful art process. Together, we will work with paper and collage, bringing different pieces together to create a unique artwork. Using gold paint, we will connect the pieces — symbolising resilience, healing, and the beauty that holds our stories together.
The workshop is inspired by traditional patterns and the richness of Afghan culture. Participants are warmly encouraged to bring small pieces of fabric, textiles, or materials with traditional patterns (Afghan or from your own culture), if they wish. These can be incorporated into your artwork, making it more personal and connected to home, memory, and identity.
No art experience is needed. This is a safe, relaxed, and supportive environment where you can take your time, express yourself freely, and enjoy the creative process. There is no right or wrong way — only your own.
We will also share tea and a quiet moment of connection, creating space to meet others and feel part of a welcoming community.
All materials and refreshments will be provided.
We warmly welcome women and children from all backgrounds.
