About Nick Compton
Nick Compton is a contributing editor and former features director at Wallpaper* magazine where he helped develop the Re-Made initiative, a series of collaborations between creatives and manufacturers aiming to reduce exploitation of people and resources. Compton writes about art, architecture, design and fashion. He is also co-founder of creative agency Bureau BCM.

About Roz Barr Roz Barr is an architect. She established Roz Barr Architects in 2010 to undertake a diverse range of projects internationally for private residential, public realm, commercial and culture sector clients, including Selfridges and V&A. Most recently Barr has designed workspaces and interiors for Bureau, Design District’s members club for creatives.
About Rosie Haslem Rosie Haslem is Director of Streetsense, ‘an experience-focused strategy and design collective.’ She’s also a former Director of Spacelab, a Co-founder of Young Urbanists group and a visiting lecturer at Bartlett School of Architecture.
About Akil Scafe-Smith Akil is one sixth of RESOLVE, an interdisciplinary design collective that aims to address multi-scalar social challenges by combining architecture, art, technology and engineering. RESOLVE have delivered numerous projects, workshops, and talks, in London, the UK, and across Europe, as well as working with a variety of initiatives to introduce young people from under-represented backgrounds to concepts in interdisciplinary design.
Design District Creates
The latest addition to London’s autumn cultural calendar, Design District Creates is a multidisciplinary celebration of the creative sector, taking place in its new dedicated creative hub on Greenwich Peninsula. From 15 September to 17 October, everyone is invited to explore Design District, with scheduled architecture tours led by Open City, pop-up events, food and drink, and art and design exhibitions including Art Block, in collaboration with NOW Gallery. Following the official opening event on 15 September, Design District will host an eye-opening programme of conversations about design, fashion, craft and innovation, featuring leading voices from across the creative industries in the brand new members club Bureau.
