Less output, more play! Creative Recovery is intuitive, open-ended creative time to reset your energy and follow curiosity.
About this Event

Are you creative as hell and craving some community? Maybe a little burnt out from the output you’ve been churning out lately. Or maybe you’re someone who identifies as “not creative” not a real thing, but yes, you’re invited.

This workshop is creative edging.Enlivening, expansive and a little electric.

We created Creative Recovery as a space to shake things loose, clear the static and open you back up to intuitive, spontaneous creation. It’s light, low pressure and intentionally open ended. Enough structure to guide you, plenty of room to wander.

We define play as following your intuition without attachment to the outcome. No perfection. No performance. No trying to make something impressive.

You won’t be making a precious, in depth masterpiece. This is intentionally low stakes. The point is movement, curiosity, connection and flow.

Creative Recovery is for people with and without creative experience. Whether you create every day or haven’t made anything in years, you’re welcome here.

We’ll gather at Coy Studio, a beautiful light filled space in Bushwick, around a shared table. We’ll check in on where you’re at creatively, then guide you through a series of grounding and playful exercises designed to reset your energy, unblock creative channels and get things moving.

This workshop is led by Phoebe Lo and Katie Thomas.

Phoebe Lo is a professional artist working across large scale environmental installations, public art, editorial storytelling, set design and campaign driven work. She is also a reiki practitioner and brings a deeply intuitive, embodied approach to creativity.

Katie Thomas is a Creative Director with 13 years of experience leading creative teams across corporate and independent brands. She’s also a reiki practitioner and sound healer with a deep love of intuitive process, creative play and helping people reconnect with what wants to move through them.

Together, we’ve created an afternoon of creative play that feels connective, expansive and alive.

If it feels like a yes, come join us.
