Workshop Description This workshop will equip participants with creative tools to help young people express and reflect on their fears. Participants will learn to notice the deeper emotions underlying these fears and foster a supportive environment where children can explore and express their feelings through imaginative and engaging activities. Learning Objective Participants will learn to create a brave environment where children can explore and express their fears by engaging in artful approaches to emotional expression and reflection. Workshop Details Date: 17th November, 2024 Day: Sunday Duration: 90 minutes, 10:30 am to 12:00 pm Audience: Parents and Educators Facilitator Name Aathira Kottapurath Facilitator Bio Aathira is an independent consultant, educator and researcher with over 10 years of experience working in schools, museums, research labs, and higher education institutions. She is interested in understanding how people think, learn, and interact with the world around them, within the systems that exist in society. As a result, she is navigating the terrain of behavioral science interventions in health and learning spaces, the complexities of fear and discipline in childhood, the potential of arts for health, and the historical context of women`s health in medicine. Aathira holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Studies, Culture, and Communications from the University of Toronto and a Master’s in Social Sciences from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is currently training to be a certified expressive and creative arts therapy practitioner.
