About this Event
Discover the magic of silver clay in this friendly, hands-on workshop led by Star and Silver Jewellery and Silver & Gowd, where no experience is required to make a lovely piece of fine silver jewellery!
Silver clay is made from tiny particles of fine silver mixed with a natural binder, making it soft and easy to shape. You’ll learn how to roll, cut and texture the clay by hand to create your own unique design.
During the session you’ll make a beautiful pair of earrings – either studs or danglers – with plenty of guidance and demonstrations along the way. Once your pieces are complete, we’ll take them away to be fired, a process that burns away the binder and transforms the clay into solid fine silver jewellery. Your finished pieces will then be polished, fitted with posts or wires, and returned to you by post or delivery.
The ticket price includes all materials, tools, finishing and return postage. If you’d prefer to create a necklace instead, you’re very welcome to do so – a silver chain can be purchased on the day for £12.
The workshop will be held at The Balloon Tree and coffee and cake will be served on arrival.
