Creative Movement & Pre-Ballet is for ages 4-5! DROP-IN!*Ages 4–5: 11:00–11:45am, Drop-in
Join The Academy of Performing Arts for a magical morning of movement, music, and imagination! These beginner-friendly classes introduce young dancers to the joy of dance through creative movement, basic ballet steps, storytelling, and playful activities. Each month features a special themed class, making every session a brand-new adventure! Perfect for new dancers and families looking for an interactive, fun experience. Program will be held in the Fadrow Room.
*February 11: Love & Leap Ballet Bash
Little dancers will flutter, twirl, and leap through heart-themed music while learning beginner ballet steps in a playful, Valentine-inspired setting. This class celebrates kindness, friendship, and creativity—perfect for helping young dancers shine.
*March 11: Shamrock Shuffle Ballet
Little dancers will shuffle, twirl, and leap their way through a St. Patrick’s Day adventure! In Shamrock Shuffle Ballet, children explore ballet basics through pretend play—tiptoeing like leprechauns, floating like shamrocks, and dancing under colorful rainbows. A magical class full of laughter, movement, and beginner ballet fun.
*April 8: Rainbow Twirl Ballet Adventure
Let’s dance across the rainbow! Little movers will explore beginner ballet steps through colorful, imaginative activities inspired by sunshine, rainbows, and soft spring showers. A joyful class full of expression, movement, and whimsical fun.
*May 6: May Flowers Ballet Bash
Step into spring with our May Flowers Ballet Bash! Young dancers will blossom through imaginative movement, flutter like butterflies, and stretch like blooming flowers while learning beginner ballet steps. A bright, joyful class that celebrates Wisconsin’s long-awaited spring!
Youth Services Program Information:
--Attend the programs appropriate for your child’s age.
--Programs may be cancelled due to health and safety concerns.
--Strollers must remain outside of program room at all library events.
