About this Event
We are Create Yourself Calm - hosting workshops and combining art and creativity with wellbeing, mindfulness and self-care tips so you can....Create Yourself Calm.
Who is this for?
Our workshops are aimed at anyone from beginners to more experienced creatives. You just need to be prepared to relax and enjoy the process of creating. Workshops always include a drink and small refreshment.
Creative Mindfulness for Parents, Carers & Community
Join us for a calming and creative workshop that blends art and mindfulness, designed to help you relax, explore your creativity, and enjoy the process without pressure. This session is suitable for both beginners and more experienced creatives, offering an opportunity to unwind, experiment with different techniques, and focus on the joy of being creative.
The workshop will include guided mindfulness exercises to help you ground yourself in the present moment and fully immerse in the creative experience. You’ll be encouraged to embrace the process rather than focus on the final outcome, allowing your creativity to flow freely.
We warmly welcome parents, carers and people in our local community who may need a break to care for themselves in a supportive and nurturing environment. All materials are provided, so there’s no need to bring anything – just come as you are.
Refreshments will be available throughout the session, giving you time to connect with others or simply enjoy a quiet moment. Whether you’re seeking inspiration, relaxation, or a creative escape, this workshop offers a welcoming space for you to recharge and express yourself.
More about us and the day....
Who are we?
We are 3 professionals, an art teacher and two counsellors, who share a passion for the crossover between creativity and self-care. We're here to help you make the most of your me-time.
What happens on the day?
We'll provide you with a starting point to get creative, linked to our mindful moment and let you explore the materials and to enjoy the process. You may end up painting, cutting, collaging or doodling - there are no rules!
Don't worry if you're a beginner as we have some great tricks for producing some colourful creative work and also suitable to more experienced creatives to try something new and experiment. The main aim is to enjoy the process and to forget about organising home life/work/what to cook for dinner etc etc. for a couple of hours. The workshop will run for 2 hours where we will intersperse the time with mindfulness and creative activities at a relaxed pace.
All materials are provided plus hot drinks and refreshments will be included.
