About this Event

Creative Living: A Community Conversation Series

Join the Lewiston Council on the Arts for a monthly gathering exploring creativity, connection, and meaningful conversation. Guided by Vera V. Chapman, Ph.D., each session centers on themes such as identity, joy, change, intuition, and belonging through short readings, reflection, and discussion. Open to all—artists and non-artists alike—these welcoming gatherings invite participants to slow down, share perspectives, and explore creativity as a way of living more thoughtfully and intentionally.
Session #1:

Reclaiming Creativity as a Way of Living

Date: June 1, 2026

Time: 1:30 - 2:30 pm

In this opening conversation, we’ll explore creativity beyond traditional art-making and reflect on the many ways it shapes how we live, solve problems, express ourselves, and make meaning. Through short readings, guided prompts, and discussion, participants will consider their personal relationship with creativity and reconnect with the creative possibilities already present in everyday life. No artistic experience is needed.
