About this Event
Join us for two Creative Literacy Workshops!
Creativity@Emerson is excited to host, , Assistant Provost for Academic Affairs and Director of the Academy for Revolutionary Creativity in Health at Thomas Jefferson University on February 9th. We're looking forward to spending the day engaging in conversation and creation. Maribeth will also hold two workshops during the day for students, faculty, and staff. Her workshops are entitled:
The Creativity Question: This event will be held from 10AM - 12PM in the Bill Bordy Theater located off the lobby of the Union Bank Building.
This playful and interactive workshop invites participants to take ownership of their creative potential by questioning common creativity myths and uncovering personal bias. Participants explore creativity not as a rare talent, but as a skill that can be intentionally developed to define and shape new opportunities. Through hands-on activities and conversation, the workshop expands curiosity and highlights why human creativity—especially in an age of artificial intelligence—is essential for framing problems, imagining possibilities, and exercising agency in an uncertain future.
What if… How might we… In what ways could we…: This event will be held from 4PM - 6PM in the Bill Bordy Theater located off the lobby of the Union Bank Building.
This workshop will be an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to learn more about the science and research behind creative literacy initiatives (like Creativity@Emerson!). It will also be a chance to dive into the experiential learning that comprises creativity curricula and programming. Above all else, it's a chance for Emersonians across different departments and disciplines, come together, learn, and collaborate.
