This magical event is unlike any other you have attended. The event is divided into 3 parts:
1. Partnered Social Learning

No boring lectures or self-bragging talks that you fall asleep to - you will learn to uncover:

• Your true personal brand that makes people remember you immediately
• Powerful storytelling techniques that will get your portfolio case study noticed by hiring managers at top companies

You will actively with your assigned partner under the guidance of your dynamic host. You are required to practice active listening skills throughout activities.

You will change partners multiple times throughout the evening to maximize your chances of making meaningful professional connections.

2. Rapid Fire Portfolio Review

Attendees have the opportunity to submit their portfolios for our guest host, product designer Kerry McPhearson with experience working with world-class companies such as Disney, for a rapid review during the event.

Attendees who did not get a chance to submit their portfolio before the event may be the opportunity to request an impromptu review during the event if time permits.

3. Guided Conscious Mentoring

Throughout the night, you will form meaningful connections with many other attendees through a carefully-guided and activity-based process. Your networking experience will be industry-specific as we divide the venue into sections where people from adjacent industries can connect in a non-awkward, meaningful and relaxed environment.

About The Host

Stella Guan is an award-winning multidisciplinary designer, educator, speaker, content creator, and entrepreneur.

After a decade of a successful career as a designer working with Fortune 500 companies, Stella took an entrepreneurial path and founded Path Unbound, a UI/UX design school providing comprehensive educational programs for people who want to make design a career. She now runs the school together with her co-founder, Sydney Ligouri, a design education expert.

As a speaker, Stella hosts unique experiential workshops around the world that help people find their career and business directions through collaborative personal brand-building, storytelling and niche-finding exercises, all in one evening. She has been invited to speak at international conferences on topics like bootstrap startup building and career development as a designer.

As an educator, she has worked as an adjunct faculty member at Fashion Institute of Technology and New York College of Technology and Lead Visual Design Instructor at General Assembly.

Stella is a multilingual immigrant to the United States originally from China since age 18. After spending a decade in New York and a few years in Los Angeles, she is now a digital nomad with a home base in Los Angeles while frequently traveling between the US, Europe, and Asia. As a content creator, Stella is building a growing following sharing her life hacks and travel experience from a personal growth lens as a globe-trotting digital nomad.

About Guest Host

is a prominent UI/UX product designer with experiencing working for the world’s largest brands, notably Disney. Kerry comes from a customer service background and successfully transitioned his career to UX design by landing his first 6-figure job right out of a bootcamp. Kerry is a vocal advocate for diversity and inclusion in design. He regularly gives back to the design community by sharing his powerful and deeply honest insights of the industry.

Kerry has been invited as a guest at many design podcasts and now a frequent guest speaker at Path Unbound events.
