Workshop 10 - Creative Connections: Networking for Creative Freelancers [Sits Gallery]
This finale event of the Freelancer Skills Series brings the learning to life and ends the programme on a high.
Part practical workshop. Part relaxed social.
We’ll start with a short, confidence-boosting session on networking that actually feels doable. You’ll learn simple, low-pressure ways to connect with others, share what you do, and start conversations without feeling awkward or “salesy”. The session is designed to be introvert-friendly and neurodivergent-aware, with clear structure, choice, and no forced small talk.
You’ll then put those ideas into action straight away through a mix of gentle, structured networking activities and informal conversations at your own pace. No shouting over a crowded room. No name-badge nightmares.
This is also a celebration. A chance to mark the end of the Freelancer Skills Series, meet fellow creative freelancers and small businesses from across Sheffield, and enjoy good food and drinks in a welcoming setting. Lunch is included, with space for relaxed conversation (or a quiet break if you prefer).
We’ll be joined by special guests from the Sheffield creative scene (TBA), including local freelance creatives sharing honest reflections on what’s helped them build work, relationships and visibility over time.
Whether you’re brand new to networking or have been doing this for years, you’ll leave with some practical tools and new connections.
